Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute Partnership

Drawing on the expertise of neighborhood residents, educators, health professionals, philanthropic organizations and elected officials, Johns Hopkins is working to change the health and well being of children and families in East Baltimore and beyond. As a participant in this partnership, the School of Education seeks to strengthen the link­ages between education and health issues and practices. The School of Education will examine how health and education issues intersect to account at least in part for the low academic achievement experienced in urban communities.
