Colleges Against Cancer (American Cancer Society)

The goals of American Cancer Society on campus are to raise community awareness of methods of prevention, to raise funds to support research and patient support, and to unite the community within and immediately surrounding Hopkins in the struggle against cancer. The goals of the American Cancer Society will be met through groups such as Colleges Against Cancer and projects such as the Relay for Life. The group provides campus support for cancer-oriented community events, such as the breast cancer marches in Baltimore. Through the organization, the group supports those in the community who are going through treatment and celebrates those who have survived. The ultimate goal is to eliminate this disease and bring the community together to support one another.
